If you don't know, I'm into cars,
I’ve come to an important realization as I’ve watched other people that
are into cars. There’s an assumption that any classic car owner needs to be
focused on “restoring” their car to show quality perfection.
Because of this, a
lot of old cars wind up sitting waiting for the day when their owners have the
time and money to do a full restore.
I meet these people all the time, I
see an old car in a garage or back yard with a tarp, and they always say, “I am
going to get to it one day”, and it never happens. You know these folks, I used
to be one. Lol.
Anyways, I’ve come to see that there
needs to be another level of classic car ownership. The idea of “Preservation”
where the goal is not necessarily show perfection, but instead, reliable
usability. This allows people to enjoy and drive the car that they have,
instead of feeling guilty for not getting around to it.
At Denwerks, my shop, we are not restoring
cars. We have been preserving a lot of fine old rigs, over 800 in the
last 13 years.
Do You or Do You Know Someone With
An O...ld Car That May Want To Get Back On The Road, So It Can Be Enjoy Again?
Maybe its inherited it, maybe its
about the time, maybe its not knowing know where to start.
We do this every day for our own
cars. So we are considering working on other folks cars, not as a restoration
shop, but as preservationists for folks to enjoy their cars again.
We can pick up your car as well. Let
me know, I have a couple we are working on now, but have time to do more.
